The Filters Fast® FFC20265WRM13 is a compatible Merv 13 air filter that replaces the White Rodgers F825-0549 and helps solve the problem of indoor air pollution. The EPA has determined that indoor air pollution can be as great as 100 times higher than outdoor air. Due to the energy crisis of the 1970s, homes built in the following decade we built with a focus on reducing energy costs by increasing insulation and sealing openings. This methodology to home-building prevents particles and gases from being exchanged with fresher outdoor air. Airborne contaminants and gases are created by people, cooking, animals, new furniture, polishes, and paints among many others caused by the products we buy. Common ailments that result from poor indoor air quality range from runny noses, headaches, and sinus pressure, up to and including trouble breathing and asthma.
The polyester filter media uses a gradient design to capture more airborne particles and remain effective over the life of the filter. Replacing filter media at regular intervals is important to maintaining higher air quality standards around the house and helping to limit or prevent the effects of allergies and respiratory diseases.
